The no.66 would make his full competitive debut against Spurs in the League Cup, before making his full Premier League debut in a baptism of fire at Old Trafford in January.

According to the Times' Paul Joyce, this is set to extend his current terms to 2022, and is likely to include substantial pay rise, given his increasing importance at Anfield. "There were bumps in the road last season - but how he responded was outstanding. He is a great talent".
