'Big Brother' Contestant Megan Lowder Explains Why She Left the Show Early

04 Juillet 2017

The nominations could be for nothing and Megan will be the only one who leaves the house this week; this season is full of twists and turns so anything could happen.

One contestant from the current season of "Big Brother" on CBS voluntarily exited the competition series early, after suffering from what she claimed was PTSD from a sexual assault prior to her time on the show. When Megan was caught in her lies after the women confronted each other, she retreated to the diary room and took herself out of the game. Executive producer Allison Grodner predicted Lowder to be the potential victor of the season. Fans on social media were quick to speculate whether she quit because she was already the target to be voted out, had been embroiled in a scandal involving a racial slur, or had simply had enough.

Megan, who was predicted as a potential victor by executive producer Allison Grodner, left the game for personal reasons.

A live feed of the action inside the "Big Brother" house is available on the CBS All-Access App.

In an interview with The Desert Sun, Megan revealed that she had been sexually assaulted while stationed in Virginia as she served, and the PTSD she suffered from the traumatic experience was triggered during her time in the "Big Brother" house. It started when Jessica chose to start calling fellow houseguest Alex "Pao Pao" after Big Brother 16 houseguest Paola, however Megan claimed she heard her say "Panda" instead. So in the house ...

Thornton 'bummed' that Marleau didn't re-sign in San Jose
But he still managed 43 assists, teaming with captain Joe Pavelski on San Jose's top line. Marleau, the second overall pick in 1997, has 508 goals and 574 assists for 1,082 points.

Only two episodes have aired of season 19, but Lowder found herself in an argument with another contestant, Josh Martinez, who called her a "snake" and "bully". "I had a lot of guys yelling at me and attacking me and it started really affecting me and making my anxiety severe". "I was throwing up, I had diarrhea, I was nauseous all the time".

But Lowder doesn't attribute those events as reasons to why she made a decision to leave. She was not pleased about being put on the block and BB fans noticed not many house mates liked her, with Josh and Cody being pretty vocal about it. The statement explained that Lowder had some personal problems, due to which she won't be a part of the season anymore. "I had a great time until all that just got the best of me", she said. Lowder was later taken to a hospital.

Megan notified Alex that she heard Jessica call her a "panda", which she interpreted as racist telling her, "Isn't that a little racist?"

Lowder told the paper that she was hospitalized for a few days before she returned home to Cathedral City, California, to be with her family.
