But as Paul noted on Twitter after the interview, Benson's claims contradict what she and another Cosby publicist, Andrew Wyatt, said in an interview on local Fox affiliate WBRC in Birmingham, AL on Thursday, in which they brought up the upcoming town hall tour unprompted and mentioned sexual assault as an issue that would be discussed when describing it. In 2014, black standup comedian Hannibal Buress slammed Cosby on stage, calling him a self-righteous scold and adding, "You rape women, Bill Cosby". Prosecutors ultimately reopened Constand's case. In a series of comments made after the announcement, Allred accused Cosby of attempting to influence the jury pool ahead of his retrial.
During the trial, Constand testified that Cosby drugged and molested her at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004.

More 50 women who have accused him of sexual misconduct but their allegations never resulted in criminal charges, namely because the statute of limitations has expired. Now that he's not sitting in jail for sexual assault, he's going to embark on a national tour that tells people how they can avoid sitting in jail for sexual assault.
