US House panel wants formal response from Trump on Comey tapes

Thus are the battle lines being drawn for the inevitable campaign against Mr. Trump's defiance of the law, triggered when Mr. Comey tactically handed the chore to Mr. Mueller.

"There has been a lot of talk about her stepping down", he said.

Never one for deep reflection, Donald Trump missed the signs of Comey's true character and deemed him a "showboat". Yet the president did not rule out the possibility that recordings exist - with Comey or anyone else.

"I certainly think that the president would hope that the former director would tell the truth".

Comey was overseeing the investigation until Trump fired him last month out of frustration with the inquiry.

President Donald Trump says Republicans benefit as long as House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi remains in power.

If that was the intention, Hosko isn't sure how helpful it was, given that it may have led to the appointment of the seasoned, fair and tough Mueller to investigate Trump for obstruction of justice, something that would not have been a "joyous" development for the president.

Comey was overseeing the investigation into any ties between Trump campaign associates and Russian Federation until Mr. Trump fired him last month out what he has said is frustration with the inquiry.

Eight percent of respondents said they believe both Trump and Comey, while 21 percent responded that they believe neither of them.

Michael Beach is another 'Aquaman' villain for Jason Momoa to take out
First off, he was snapped on set in Australia alongside Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (who's set to suit up as Black Manta in the film). DC and Warner Bros. have not yet released a lot of information regarding Aquaman , but the cast is certainly quite stellar.

Were it not for Trump's innuendo about secret White House tapes of conversations involving Comey, the fired Federal Bureau of Investigation director may not have felt compelled to come forward to leak memos giving his version of events leading up to his dismissal.

Trump also appeared to agree with Fox host Ainsley Earhardt's suggestion that his initial tweet was meant to keep Comey honest before he shared his accounts of conversations with lawmakers.

When Trump himself was asked about it at a news conference earlier this month, he promised to answer the question at a time of his choosing, and said that reporters would not like the answer.

"I can say that the people that have been hired are all Hillary Clinton supporters, some of them worked for Hillary Clinton", Trump said.

"The president's statement today via Twitter is extremely clear", she said.

At the end of May, former CIA Director John Brennan revealed in a testimony before the House of Representatives Intelligence Committee that in the summer of a year ago he had information about contacts between the team of future American President Donald Trump and Russian Federation. "We're going to have to see".

He's brought trouble to his White House.

Three other administration officials, Dan Coats, director of national intelligence, Mike Rogers, head of the National Security Agency, and Mike Pompeo, director of the CIA, have been called upon to tell Congress why they would not confirm that Mr. Trump had asked each of them to do a similar favor regarding Mr. Flynn. He also testified, "Lordy, I hope there are tapes!".
