23 Juin 2017

The company was recognized as a result of its participation in an annual survey used to identify companies for their exemplary commitment and activities to improve the quality of life in the communities where they do business.

The Civic 50 winners are public and private companies with USA operations and revenues of $1 billion or more, and are selected based on four dimensions of their US community engagement program - how extensively and strategically the company applies its resources into community engagement programs; how the programs are integrated into all aspects of the company; how the company supports the programs through policies and incentives and how the programs' impact is measured.

Investment: How extensively and strategically the company applies its resources to community engagement in the United States, including employee time and skills, cash, in-kind giving and leadership.

"In the fifth year of honoring the most community-minded companies in the nation, The Civic 50 highlights the commitment to community and civic engagement of America's leading brands", said Jennifer Lawson, president of networks at Points of Light.

Integration: How the company integrates their USA community engagement programs into key business functions, including employee engagement, marketing/PR, diversity and inclusion, recruiting, stakeholder relations and skill-development. "By elevating critical stakeholder voices from employees, customers and communities into their mission statements, The Civic 50 companies are putting themselves at the center of change to create more enduring and sustainable business models".

Institutionalization: How does the company support community engagement in the United States through organizational policies, systems and incentives? "We are honored by our inclusion on the Civic 50 and will continue to advance programs and initiatives that engage, empower and give back to global communities".

Columbia Banking System Inc
Moreover, Forest Hill Capital Ltd Liability has 2.07% invested in Columbia Banking System Inc (NASDAQ:COLB) for 143,471 shares. The financial services provider reported $0.50 EPS for the quarter, meeting the Thomson Reuters' consensus estimate of $0.50.

The Civic 50 is the only survey and ranking system that exclusively measures corporate involvement in communities, and was developed in partnership with a high-profile working group of researchers and industry thought leaders.

MGM Resorts has a long history of supporting the communities in which it operates. By achieving this goal, UPS's total volunteer hours would increase more than 12 percent and non-profits will receive assistance valued at more than $460 million. We bring the power of people where it's needed most. So far, the Global Forestry Initiative has planted more than 7 million trees in 53 countries and awarded $2.6 million in grants in 2016 to nonprofit organizations focused on environmental sustainability.
