23 Juin 2017

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei delivers a speech in a meeting with military commanders in Tehran, Iran, February 7, 2017.

The dispute over the Syrian attack on the USA -backed fighters and the American response came as Iran launched ballistic missiles at Islamic State strongholds in eastern Syria in retaliation for a pair of attacks by extremists in Tehran earlier this month that killed 17 people and wounded more than 50.

While participants in the Vienna agreement have not yet announced their stance towards the new sanctions law that was adopted by the US Senate, Iran's IRNA agency quoted well-informed sources as saying that the EU, Russia and China do not regard the US Senate decision to impose new sanctions as a violation to the JCPOA.

He billed Iran's retaliatory missile strike as a countermeasure of just a "very limited scale". "Our policy towards Iran is to push back on this hegemony. and to work toward support of those elements inside of Iran that would lead to a peaceful transition of that government", the top USA diplomat said. "Unfortunately the missile program of the Iranian regime has remained primarily unchecked".

Russian Federation says it will now treat all USA -led coalition planes in the air over Syria, west of the Euphrates, as targets after an American fighter jet for the first time in the six-year conflict shot down a Syrian military plane. "North Korea's experts constantly travel to Iran while the IRGC's missile experts visit North Korea". Two of these centers are described by the regime as missile cities.

Iran said it won't hesitate to shore up its missile capability and presses ahead with the program in the future, its government spokesman said on Tuesday.

Trump on Thursday reiterated his call for unity in the aftermath of the shooting in the Washington suburb of Alexandria, Virginia. Even with the progress over the last two days, though, Sava said Scalise will remain in the hospital for the near future.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran first revealed the existence of SPND (a Persian acronym) in July of 2011 in Washington, DC, and SPND was placed in the sanctions list three years later.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has stressed that the Islamic Republic will respond "more decisively" to any future terrorist attack on Iran's soil, PressTV reported.

He added that "as the regime becomes more isolated domestically and its grip on Iranian society weakens, it resorts more frantically to the second pillar of its bid to keep power".

Iran has chosen to confront the Trump administration, both militarily and diplomatically, as the USA levels new sanctions and punitive measures against Tehran for its continued use of illicit ballistic missiles and funding of terrorism.

He said the regime reorganized the IRGC Aerospace Force to focus nearly exclusively on missile production and testing rather than aircraft. He also spoke about the major gathering of Iranians in Paris on July 1st, where tens of thousands of Iranians and their worldwide supporters, including hundreds of luminaries from all over the world, will declare their unequivocal opposition to the policies of exporting Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism, as well as the expansionist interventions in the region, and the nuclear and missile programs.
