FIFA warns Mexico over 'insulting' chants at Confederations Cup in Russia

21 Juin 2017

On Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 21:00, will be a match of 2 rounds in Group A in the global tournament Confederation Cup, in which at the stadium "Fisht" in Sochi, Mexico will face off against New Zealand.

Ricardo Quaresma had given showed great composure to control Ronaldo's defence splitting pass to him before fooling the Mexico keeper with one touch and tapping into an empty goal.

For the second round matches from Group B, Nika has predicted Cameroon to get their first win of the Confederations Cup 2017 when they come up against Australia and predicted Germany to defeat Chile.

Cristiano Ronaldo remains "extremely concentrated" on helping Portugal deliver the required result when they tackle Confederations Cup hosts Russian Federation in Moscow, according to coach Fernando Santos.

"As you know, Federation Internationale de Football Association is very serious about the chanting that we do when the goalkeeper takes a kick, and the possible sanctions are serious", FMF said in a statement directed at the team's supporters.

Javier Hernandez then equalised, only for Cedric to restore Portugal's lead late on before Mexico equalised with a header by Hector Moreno from the final corner.

Man arrested over abusive twitter post after London mosque
According to Metropolitan Police, a man was tasered after attacking people with a shoe horn at a London mosque. A Met police spokesman said: "The item being waved was found to be a shoe horn taken from the mosque".

Hosts Russia now top Group A followed by Mexico, Portugal and New Zealand.

After Portugal's defensive frailties were exposed against Mexico, Santos could inject some pace by starting with Gelson Martins, Nelson Semedo and Andre Silva.

"We still need to work on our finishing, we're not efficient enough in the final third of the pitch".

Strangely, Portugal have never won in Moscow, losing all three of their previous games there.

Mexico had a solid start to its Confederations Cup campaign, drawing 2-2 to Portugal in the first match day of the competition. "We nearly had the game won but we suffered in the final minutes". "Maybe they will let us see it after the tournament ends and the team leaves, I don't know". The Team Will Surely win the Match.

"Don't forget that most of these players here were part of the most brilliant history in Portuguese history just a year ago (at the European Championships), we should not forget that and so I trust them 100%".
