Chelsea ready to appease Conte with Cristiano Ronaldo move — In Focus

19 Juin 2017

According to Football Italia, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte could leave the club as he is frustrated with the lack of transfer activity at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea faced criticism and allegations that Conte was unhappy about the speed of their transfer dealings a year ago, and yet the signings of N'Golo Kanté, David Luiz and Marcos Alonso proved to be inspired.

For now, Conte will wait for the right signings to defend the title. If each word of the text did indeed cost Chelsea a million euros, as Cantona suggests, then they could expect to lose out on €27million (£23.6m). Of those, nine were agreed in the first four years of the Abramovich era (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006), when the Blues were at their most active and aggressive in the transfer market as they transformed from Premier League also-rans into perennial contenders.

The Gunners are also linked in Turkey with a £10.5m move for Fenerbahce defender SIMON KJAER.

Atletico hope they can convince Chelsea to keep Costa until January, although Conte wants him gone before the start of the season. Last summer saw Conte have to work with the players given to him rather than the players he wanted.

Conte had reportedly given technical director Michael Emenalo and director Marina Granovskaia a list of transfer targets.

Pakistan can upset any team on their day, says Kohli
The "Law of Averages" were certainly going to catch up with India's "Big Three" after their brilliant run in the tournament. Shikhar Dhawan , Rohit Sharma , and Virat Kohli have been exceptional with the bat so far, this season.

Abramovich's presence at the club's Cobham training complex over three days last September, in the wake of a damaging 3-0 loss at Arsenal, was created to demonstrate the manager was being backed, with the owner making a point of sitting with the coaching staff in the canteen rather than mixing with the players, as he might have done in the past. Hazard is expected to be offered a new deal worth around £300,000-a-week. Neither will be sold this summer.

According to the Italian media, Conte's decision to tell striker Diego Costa he has no future at the club has caused discontent among the board members, although, the Blues' transfer plans are also thought to be a concern.

Chelsea's contract negotiations with keeper Thibaut Courtois have stalled with his £100,000 per week deal expiring in two years.

The manager is now on holiday, with discussions over a free transfer of Willy Caballero and contract extension for Thibaut Courtois continuing in his absence.

Sky Sports Information HQ understands Chelsea are positive Conte, who is presently on holiday, continues to be dedicated to cry and will certainly return for pre-season in the first week of July as intended.
