The duo visited the police officers who were injured in the shooting at a Congressional baseball practice Wednesday morning, including openly gay officer Crystal Griner, who is married to a woman.

The FBI said yesterday that it believed Hodgkinson was living out of his van in Alexandria. Duncan said he answered that the players were Republicans, before leaving the field. It happened while Republican congressmen were practicing for the annual Congressional Baseball Game.

"It's been much more hard than people even thought at the time", Trump told reporters at the White House on Thursday, adding that he also had visited a wounded Capitol Police officer at the hospital.

When he left, she said, Hodgkinson told her he was going to Washington, D.C.to "work with people to change the tax brackets".

When Hodgkinson left for the Washington area, his wife figured he just needed a break since their daughter and 2-year-old granddaughter had just moved into their home and usually spent all day with him. She said she didn't know he had a gun with him. "I have never said 'life sucks, ' only the policies of the Republicans", he wrote in another. "I can't wrap my head around it", Hodgkinson said.

According to the report by the Daily Caller, that group's members celebrated Hodgkinson's mass assassination attempt. Among those was House Majority Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana, who remains hospitalized after undergoing several surgeries after being shot in the hip.
