Former West Brookfield Campground Searched For Clues In Molly Bish Case

16 Juin 2017

Bish was 16 years-old when she vanished from Comins Pond. Bish's mother says she saw a white vehicle the day before her daughter vanished.

Investigators say they have found "compelling" information in the disappearance of a MA teen lifeguard who was last seen 17 years ago.

Molly's mother told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Lana Jones the family never stopped searching for clues-and recent information brought them to the new site.

Cold case investigators were using ground-penetrating radar to look for a auto they believed was buried in the West Brookfield area.

"What we're looking for is any kind of anomaly". "All this area was part of it".

Bish said the family's private investigator, Sarah Stein; Peter Massey, a professor of forensic science from the University of New Haven; and a team of students searched the grounds of the Old Sawmill Campground in West Brookfield for hours beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Investigators said they don't anticipate releasing firm results Thursday night-and it could be days before a complete analysis of the site is complete.

No one has been arrested in connection to Bish's disappearance and murder, but Stein said that they have "extremely compelling information" on a person of interest.

She said they will not know what the radar picked up until they have a chance to extract the data and have it analyzed.

"As a mother you always have hope that something will happen, that there will be an answer", said Bish, Molly's mother.
