Another late night in store for Cosby jury

15 Juin 2017

Jurors made the request to have portions of Andrea Constand's testimony read back to them after deliberating about 21 hours without reaching a verdict in a case that has already helped demolish Cosby's nice-guy reputation.

Earlier, jurors asked to rehear a part of Constand's testimony about the night of the alleged assault.

Prosecutors called 12 witnesses over a week of testimony, but presented nearly no forensic evidence.

Constand took the stand last week, keeping her composure under a fierce barrage of cross-examination from the defense, which sought to portray their relationship as consensual, and Cosby's accuser as a liar.

Brian McMonagle, an attorney for Bill Cosby, has a conversation outside the courtroom on the third day of jury deliberations for Cosby's sexual assault trial at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pennsylvania, U.S. June 14, 2017. Depending on what the jury ultimately decides, the 79-year-old comedian could end up spending up to 10 years in prison or face no jail time at all.

Andrea, who is now 44 years of age, gave her testimony last week saying that she was drugged by Bill and, then, penetrated by him using his fingers against her will. The final prosecution witness, toxicologist Dr. Timothy Rohrig, testified that wooziness and other effects Ms. Constand described could have been caused by Benadryl or Quaaludes.

Both Winters and Steinberg, neither of whom have any role in the Cosby case, said that it is likely that the jury is deadlocked, or hung.

But the allegations lodged by 44-year-old Canadian Andrea Constand about an encounter in January 2004 are the only criminal case brought against him.

Last week, Pulliam gave a similar statement to ET, again making it clear that she doesn't "condone or support sexual assault". She reported him to human resources, but was told he would get a lecture and no further punishment because he was a "high performer", she wrote. "The consent issue is good for Cosby, the deposition is not". "He's been upbeat", she said.

Expect to see other devs to echo the same impressive results, especially with games that are built on DirectX 12. It also allows for true 4K resolution gaming on console while PS4 Pro only upscales.

"The true test of family, of friendship, of just loyalty comes (during tough times).", she said.

"I'm going to have to just cross that bridge when I come to it".

Accuser Constand and her mother sat in the gallery as the interview was read.

They also wanted to hear Cosby's wording when he referred to the three pills as "friends", as well as Constand's initial statements to authorities in Canada.

Day 8 of the Cosby trial was another day of waiting for lawyers, journalists, spectators and courthouse officials as the question on everyone's mind lingered: What is taking so long? That it couldn't have been assault if she had an orgasm.

But she said the hotel room meeting was not romantic, and explained that she made those phone calls in her job responsibility at Temple.

"She needed to relax", Mr. Cosby told investigators.

Defense attorneys said those were not the actions of a sexual assault victim, and suggested she was lying. "It's nothing that I take lightly or that I condone in any way shape or form, but he's still a person, he's still a husband, a parent, someone's son", she continued. "It was a lot of confusion putting a lot of dates together".
