Clemens' son among familiar names on Day 2 of MLB draft

The Toronto Blue Jays selected a pair of college players with their first two picks of the Major League Baseball draft on Monday.

Danner is an 18-year-old from Huntington Beach, Calif., who also pitched with his high school team.

Warmoth has solid speed and the savvy to use it on the basepaths. His power came on late in his college career. Controlling the strike zone and getting on base are considered strengths and he is an above average base stealer. "Large's range and hands are fringy and he should become an an average defender at second".

His brother Justin is an anchor at Orlando CBS affiliate WKMG and his father is Orlando ABC affiliate WFTV's weeknight anchor Greg Warmoth.

Right-hander Landon Leach of Pickering, Ont., was the first Canadian drafted this year, going to the Minnesota Twins in the second round (37th overall) on Monday. Leach's best pitch is a fastball that sits in the 92-94 miles per hour range with a good amount of sink. He also has two breaking balls and is developing a change-up.
