"The Chamber and the business community look forward to engaging with the White House and with Congress to develop and implement a long-term plan that will bring our nation's infrastructure up to speed and spur economic growth", said Ed Mortimer, the Chamber's executive director for transportation infrastructure.
He was joined by families from OH and Kentucky he described as "victims of the Obamacare catastrophe".
"We're here today to talk about rebuilding our nation's infrastructure".
"Every single thing is obstruction", the president continued, adding that "if I was in that party, I would not do it that way".
The speech comes a day before former FBI Director James Comey is scheduled to testify in front of Congress and as the White House faces new allegations about possible efforts by the president to influence the investigation into possible ties between his campaign and Russian Federation.
Trump said that as he campaigned across the country a year ago, people often asked him why the US was spending money to rebuild other countries when the roads and bridges they travel on needed rebuilding, too. He spoke before a crowd at Rivertowne Marina.
