NBA Finals 2017: Photos from Warriors vs. Cavs Game 4

10 Juin 2017

James recorded his NBA Finals-record ninth triple-double, while displaying a rediscovered outside shot. Yet, he isn't even the biggest talking point for the night. The comeback Cavaliers are at it again.

Cleveland put up numbers normally reserved for the NBA All-Star Game.

Once the dust settled, and the Cavaliers stopped draining 3-pointers in their 137-116 victory, the series stood 3-1 in favor of the Warriors, but Cleveland fans got to celebrate Friday night.

Durant's key basket over Cleveland's LeBron James could be the first signature moment in a possible dynasty run for the Warriors, seeking their second title in three seasons after falling one win shy of a crown previous year. His teammates, on the other hand, didn't look too interested from the start. Stephen Curry has been great so far in the finals, but showed shades of the last two NBA Finals tonight. The Cavs made 13 3-pointers.

Through four games, the 2017 NBA Finals are averaging a 12.8 metered market rating - up five percent from a 12.2 in 2016.

Kyrie Irving was sensational again and closed the deal.

An NBA Finals record 24 3-pointers as a team, 86 points in the first half, 49 in the opening quarter.

The third quarter featured a confusing sequence and a scramble on the floor that resulted in two technicals, a friend of James being escorted from the arena and back and forth flurries worthy of a heavyweight boxing match.

In any event, the Cavs are still breathing and it's now the Warriors who may be feeling the pressure after blowing a 3-1 lead last June.

James said after Game 3 that it takes an A-plus-plus game to beat the Warriors, and the Cavs delivered one Friday. There is just the hard painful slog of finishing off a very good team, or expiring in the attempt. Klay Thompson seems to giving Irving as much as he can handle, but when Uncle Drew's cooking, it's almost impossible to stop.

House Intel Committee requests Comey tapes from the White House
Trump's Twitter account had been quiet throughout Comey's testimony accusing the administration of spreading "lies". Trump referenced these supposed tapes in a perfectly normal, non-threatening tweet back in May.

The gameplan worked like a charm as the Warriors were a frustrated bunch for most of the night with players and head coach Steve Kerr arguing calls from the officials, who at times seemed to lose control of the game.

The Cavaliers were red-hot shooting the ball. The Cavs gave the Warriors their best shot, but Golden State still won 118-113. The game was filled technical fouls and points galore as there were a total of 7 technical fouls and 35 3-pointers between the two teams.

The Cavaliers shot 24-for-45 from 3-point range.

Defensively, they tried to make it somewhat hard for the Cavaliers to score freely from the three point line as the first half went on. Both guys played tremendous games, really did some awesome things, one-on-one, making shots, and then they got a lot of contributions from others, too. "Double T", as LeBron likes to call him, was fantastic in Game 4 for the Cavaliers and had his best game of the series. The Cavs have continued to push the Warriors in this series, but they came up short in the first three games.

The Warriors still have ample chances to win their second title in three seasons over the Cavs.

But in the 126 instances where National Basketball Association teams have fallen behind 3-0, none have recovered to win the series.

The clutching, the grabbing, the physical play, and the officials' inability to manage the game gave Game 4 a odd rhythm, and a layer of tension that you rarely see for a team trailing 3-0 at home.

There'll be a Game 5 and the Warriors will have another try at the Larry O'Brien Trophy on Monday at Oracle.

Through three games, the series was averaging roughly 20 million viewers per game, up 11 percent over previous year.
