HULL CITY boss Marco Silva is expected to confirm his exit next week, and begin talks to take over at Watford, according to reports.
While there were some suggestions that Mauricio Pochettino's men had "bottled it" after losing 1-0 to West Ham and thereby effectively ending the title race, their reaction to that result underlines the team's impressive mental resolve. Left back Danny Rose has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery this week.
"Of course it was a big challenge to us when we came here to the Premier League - to try to remain the club in the Premier League".
"I have in my mind [a decision] but the first person who will listen to this situation is the chairman and our board, " Silva said.
Speaking ahead of this weekend's final fixture of the season, Silva said: "Of course the disappointment and frustration is still felt, because we didn't achieve our goal of staying up".
"I don't see any let up from Tottenham". We started to talk during this week and we'll meet again next week.
"It's the moment we try to give one good result for our fans in the last game".
