Jose Mourinho Believes Ajax Should Not be in Europa League

I think Ajax make the right investments at the right times.

United have trained at Carrington on the day before most Europa League games this season, with the exception of the matches at Zorya Luhansk and FC Rostov. He wasn't playing a lot so he had to play today.

United will play their final game of the Premier League season at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday, taking on the Eredivisie side just three days later - much to the annoyance of Mourinho, who has lashed out at English football authorities for not helping his club.

Mourinho, however, had to take United to Southampton for a Premier League game on Wednesday and must also prepare a team - albeit much changed - for Sunday's final game of the league season against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

"In any country in the world the match would be Saturday, because Sunday we are sixth, doesn't matter what, and Crystal Palace are safe", said the Portuguese, 54.

"I always disagree with it, I don't think a team should play in two European competitions in the same season".

"I never saw that with Chelsea, Manchester United or Manchester City previous year". I believe it is not by looking at them, but by looking at ourselves'.

Their youth is something that many suspect will see them fall short in Stockholm but Bosz feels their youth is something that will lead to them securing the support of neutrals; he can't be certain how they will react but he has total belief in the way Ajax play football.

The two teams meet next Wednesday in Stockholm with UEFA's second biggest club trophy up for grabs.

"We perhaps need to work a little more on the training sessions because the penalties have been very important", Puel told reporters.

'It is true that they are young, but they learnt a lot.

"I think if a team goes to the Champions League and doesn't qualify they should go home".

But despite the tradition of European finalists being put through their paces at the stadium the night before the game, Mourinho has made it clear that they will remain in Manchester before flying to Sweden on Tuesday. "Whoever plays in the final is good enough to go out there, do the business and win the game".
