For the unaware, Google Assistant is a virtual helper powered by artificial intelligence, and is available on Android phones along with the Google Home smart speaker. Google has also said that it will be looking at lowering the required minimum software version to Android 5.0 (Lollipop).
During its I/O developer conference, Google took the wraps off Android Go, in broad strokes the successor to Android One.
