Flipkart, Amazon top LinkedIn's companies list

The list of 25 top companies in India also saw over 30 per cent of new entrants, namely One97 Communications, Tech Mahindra (14th), Swiggy (15th), IDFC Bank (17th), Vodafone (20th), Grofers (22nd), McKinsey & Company (24th) and Oracle (25th).

Companies, which have progressed further from last year's ranking include Ola (From 10 in 2016 to 5 now), OYO Rooms (From number 16 last year to 9 this year), Reliance Industries (from 23 to 10) and Cisco (From 24 last year, it has jumped to number 16).

According to LinkedIn, the Top Companies list is based on the billions of actions taken by LinkedIn's 500 million-plus members and looks at three main pillars: interest in a company's jobs, interest in a company's brand and employees, and employee retention.

Offering new possibilities and opportunities for talent within the country, home grown companies are increasingly being considered by job seekers, the statement said.

On their first day, employees of Flipkart are picked by chauffeur-driven cars and sent on a treasure hunt to make them familiarise with the office.

Irfan Abdulla, Director Talent Solutions & Learning Solutions, LinkedIn India in a statement said, "India Inc is thriving, backed by an increasing business friendly sentiment and a positive economic trajectory".

According to the analyst this now indicates there is a potential increase of 16.85% from Rhythmone's current price of 44.5. The stock of Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) has "Overweight" rating given on Tuesday, November 1 by Morgan Stanley.

"The list also saw six start-ups making it to the top 25, including Flipkart, One97 Communications, OYO Rooms and Grofers among others", the statement added. The company is followed by Amazon and KPMG India in the second and third place respectively.
