The route of the procession will be entering Billings from 1-90/Exit 446, eastbound on Laurel Road to Division, northbound on Division to 2nd Ave North, eastbound on 2nd Ave North to North 27th St, and northbound on North 27th Street to St Vincent's Hospital.

The Broadwater County Sheriff's Office has identified the deputy killed as Mason Moore, who had worked at the department for three years.

Officers from numerous jurisdictions joined a procession at mid-day Tuesday to escort Moore's body from Three Forks to Billings for an autopsy.

We scanned through scanner traffic records from Broadcastify, an online service that lets the public hear scanner traffic in real time, giving us more information about an early morning pursuit of two suspects and the death of Broadwater County Sheriff's Deputy, Mason Moore. His name hasn't been released.

The suspect's vehicle was spotted about 80 miles (129 kilometers) away. The passenger has not be identified.

A southwestern Montana sheriff's deputy was killed in a shootout with two suspects during a traffic stop near Three Forks.

The incident began when a Broadwater County Sheriff's deputy pulled a vehicle over near Three Forks in what's described as a "routine stop" at approximately 3 a.m.

A statewide alert was issued for the suspect vehicle and it was spotted near Anaconda where a pursuit began.

Authorities said the vehicle headed westbound on interstate 90 where it struck spike strips in Powell County but was able to continue on I-90. At that point, Bassett says the passenger left the vehicle and shot at multiple officers. He is believed to be the shooter's father.

Lester reports one of the suspects was wounded in the head as officers returned gunfire.
