On Thursday, Trump in an interview contradicted comments made by deputy press secretary Sarah Sanders about when he chose to remove James Comey as Federal Bureau of Investigation director.
Yingst asked, "Is the President considering canceling the daily press briefings?"
That leaves the public explanations for Comey's firing to Sanders.
Friday morning, President Trump tweeted, "James Comey better hope that there are no "tapes" of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!"
When the world awoke on Wednesday, many Republicans were uneasy, and outraged Democrats were calling for a special prosecutor to investigate whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russian Federation to influence the USA election.
Deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders has filled in during Spicer's absence, which renewed speculation that Trump was giving the daughter of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee a tryout with an eye toward possibly replacing Spicer with her.
China to import US Beef for first time since 2003
Trump declared success last month in gaining greater access to China for U.S. beef suppliers following meetings with Xi. The US Meat Exporters Forum welcomed the high level agreement to allow US beef to re-enter the Chinese market.
"Are you moving so quickly that your communications department can't keep up with you?" One of the statements included House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.), who said, "Comey was not in the right job". "The people that are in the dark today are the Democrats", Sanders said.
The White House also changed its narrative about whether the president had made a decision to fire Mr Comey based on the recommendations by Mr Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
While speaking with Shepard Smith after Friday's press conference during which press eecretary Sean Spicer declined to confirm or deny the presence of recording devices in the Oval Office, Wallace couldn't hold back his shock at this week's political developments.
Alexis Simendinger, the White House correspondent for RealClearPolitics: "T$3 he minute that Director Comey said that there was an official investigation, it might appear as if the White House is interfering with the investigation..."
Later, Ms Sanders said, "We want this to come to its conclusion, we want it to come to its conclusion with integrity". "And we think that we've actually, by removing Director Comey, taken steps to make that happen".
The latest tweets are not the first time the administration has threatened to limit media access. He whipped it out for a third time when Mason asked if Trump planted recording devices in the White House. But many interpreted it as a move to limit media access.
