Celtics, Wizards have their own crosses to bear heading into Game 7

14 Mai 2017

Boston Celtics All-Star Isaiah Thomas is embracing the challenge of his team's upcoming Game 7 against the Washington Wizards in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Washington's Bradley Beal had 33 points and Wall scored 26 despite shooting nine-of-25 from the field, as they snapped a streak of seven straight elimination-game losses at home.

More after the break, the Celtics got six points, however, awakened the wall with the active support of the Bill and Morris confidently extinguished all attempts of the guests to create a comfortable advantage.

The play in question came when the Celtics inbounded the ball with 3.5 seconds remaining and the Wizards holding onto their one-point lead thanks to John Wall's late three-pointer.

Thomas and Bradley each scored 27 points for the Celtics; Horford finished 20 points.

No pay-per-view fight since has had more than 1 million buys in the the sport sagged and the UFC gained ground. I've shown I can do lots of things in the ring , anything a fighter brings-I've shown I can showcase myself.

The Celtics will be absolutely kicking themselves that they weren't able to come away with the win in Game 6 but they'll have to regroup in a hurry to avoid losing the series altogether. Here's Wall spinning to the cup - one of his many second half highlights...

In fact, just 1:47 before Wall hit the game-winning shot, he ran down the shot clock via useless dribbles, then missed a rushed 18-footer.

In his seventh season with the Wizards, the team has only made the playoffs three times, but during his first two, Wall averaged 21.9 and 17.6 percent with his 3-ball, respectively. I'm tempted to take the Wizards with the points, but I'm sticking with the Celtics to get the job done at home where they won by 22 points back in Game 5. If you had said that back in October, that there'd be a Game 7 in the second round, a lot of people probably wouldn't even believe that. About two weeks later, the two teams played again, and Wizards players showed up for the game wearing all black. When he heard the news pregame from friends and family, John Wall found that amusing.

The Celtics won games one and two - the first playoff series between Washington and Boston since 1984 - by at least 10 points.

Celtics bench could not contribute offensively in this game and put up a mere five points. "We have nothing to hold our heads down about, we're going to take a few days to figure out our adjustments and win Game 7". We made some big plays. So we're excited. I mean, it hurts right now because we just lost. "When I played, if I missed two shots I didn't think I was going to make the next shot". The Wizards fell one win short of their goal of 50 for the regular season, but that would certainly make up for it.
