Sarma said, "We want to introduce modern learning like computers in these educational institutes. The Madrassa Board will be dissolved and academic part will be handed over to the Board of Secondary Education", Sarma wrote in a tweet. "After that, there will be examinations", Sarma said. At the same time, there are nearly 2000 private Madrasas in the state which won't come under the purview of this directive. The main function of the Madrasa was to train Muslims, mainly the newly converted ones about the Islamic religion. The Congress has said that if the government is really interested in mainstreaming the Madrasas, then it should establish a university exclusively for Madrasas.

With Assam government planning to eliminate the controlling boards of madrassa and sanskrit tols minority organisations have announced agitation programmes opposing the move. While the Madrasa education would be placed under the State Board of Secondary Education, Sanskrit tols would be looked after by the Kumar Bhaskarvarma Sanskrit & Ancient Studies University, he said. Madrasas will remain closed on Fridays at Pakistan and Bangladesh, not India, he had also said.

Rondon nearly caused an upset when burst clear in the 70th minute but David Luiz did supremely well to catch him up and block. Conte was subsequently tasked with the aim of reviving Chelsea , which he has done with the title capture at the Hawthorns.

The All Assam Students Union (AASU) today asserted that the credibility of the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) should be kept intact. Now what it means, effectively is that we are trying to mainstream the Madrasas.

What is Madrasa education system? It has 700 Madrasas running under it. "I am opposed to scrapping of directorate of Madrasa education, because that will not help Madrasa education but at the same time we are not opposed to modernisation".
