Spurs' Leonard (ankle) expects to play in Game 6

12 Mai 2017

The San Antonio Spurs will not have their best player Thursday as they attempt to close out the Houston Rockets in Game 6 of their second-round playoff series.

The Warriors are giving Dub Nation a way to get amped up for the Western Conference Finals.

The Spurs lead the best-of-seven series 3-2. Either team could have won the game down the stretch'. Manu, who according to ESPN's Tom Haberstroh, rode the pine every other time the game went down to the wire in these playoffs. In overtime, Simmons made two free throws, had a key rebound and stole the ball twice from James Harden. Ginobili capped his splendid performance with a block on Harden's 3-point shot at the buzzer. The Steve Kerr Warriors have been on a miniature dynasty run but have never faced Gregg Popovich and the Spurs in the playoffs.

Looking at the betting trends, the Spurs are 7-16 ATS in their last 23 games following a win and 2-6 ATS in their last eight Conference Semifinals games. He had 22 points and 15 rebounds before leaving the game.

Failing to put Leonard on the court is a calculated gamble for the Spurs.

Jonathon Simmons, who is averaging 6.2 points in nearly 18 minutes, will start at small forward as the Spurs hold a 3-2 series lead.

Arizona Health Care Experts Worried About AHCA
House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of California has threatened that GOP lawmakers will "glow in the dark" over their vote. Obama weighed in on Sunday night, calling on members of Congress to show "political courage" on the health care law.

Reserve point guard Patty Mills, who is filling in for injured starter Tony Parker, said Leonard's potential absence shouldn't alter San Antonio's focus headed into Thursday's matchup at the Toyota Center.

He then spent $150 to tryout for the Spurs' development league affiliate in Austin, where he played for two seasons, earning fewer than $25,000 a year. It's tough, especially the way we lost at home for Game 6.

Game 6 is Thursday in Houston and the victor of the series will take on the Golden State Warriors in the West finals.

Patrick Beverley scored 20 points for Houston and Eric Gordon, who started for forward Ryan Anderson in coach Mike Antoni's small-ball lineup, had 11. I'm sure the Rockets have got some players that are dealing with some stuff. "Houston's another story and we'll meet back here (San Antonio) and try again".

He increased those numbers to 27.8 points, 7.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists during the postseason. Those two things don't always go together. If it can work in Golden State, it can work in San Antonio, where this program originated.
