After a shocking turn by TJ Perkins and a frenetic few weeks, there was bound to be a hiccup or two along the way as the Neville-Aries rematch at Payback draws near. Gulak stated that Ali's brand of "reckless" high-flying has no place in the bright future of 205 Live.

For months, Brian Kendrick has been "teaching" Akira Tozawa lessons on a weekly basis. Front drop kick and senton from Tozawa for a two. Daivari back in and catches Ali and drops him back first on the apron. Nese with a torture rack, but Tozawa fights out. Nearfall for Nese and he lands a thrust kick to the midsection. Tozawa blocks another stalling suplex. Bicycle knee from Tozawa for a near fall. Nese with crossfaces and the referee breaks them. Brian Kendrick tries to get involved, and it just distracts Nese long enough for Akira Tozawa to steal the roll-up victory.

Post-match, Kendrick apologizes to Nese and corners Tozawa.

Nese was none too happy about this, and laid Kendrick out after sharing some words with him. Tozawa with the microphone and he says lesson #3 is Kendrick needs to have eyes in the back of his head. A replay showed him punking Noam Dar and Alicia Fox last week.

Back in the arena, Rich Swann made his entrance. Swann says Alicia Fox has had a week to think things over. Instead of Fox, Noam Dar interrupted.

Alicia Fox comes to the ring. Swann asked who will it be, Foxxy? Fox says he is young, talented, and charismatic, but then she got to know him and says he brings other things to the relationship. Foxy reveals that she's been using Dar and tells him to leave. She was also annoyed by the way he says "Alicia Foooooooooooooox". She turned to Swann and said all of his gifts were thoughtful.

The lasting image of the night came when Neville had Aries locked in the Rings of Saturn, with Perkins smugly sitting nearby.

Swann asked if she remembered Cedric Alexander. Swann says Alexander is one of his best friends and Fox broke his heart by leaving him for some "Euro-trash pervert". Swann said that the entire world now knows the type of person that Fox is, and that's the gift that truly matters. She went after the crowd over the "what" chants and started talking about Louisville being her city as she was eventually cut off. A video aired which showed him pulling up to the arena in a very nice vehicle and telling the valet not to scratch it.

Daivari yanked Ali's legs out from under him and he crashed and burned. Ali back up and creates some space. Headscissors attempt by Ali blocked and Daivari with a back suplex on the apron. Ali tried to pick up some momentum, but Daivari caught him coming off the middle turnbuckle and planted him with a hard spinebuster. Ali sets up for the 450, but Senator Drew Gulak comes out with a loudspeaker and sign that says "no fly zone".

Ariya Daivari over Mustafa Ali in about 6:45. Daivari followed up with a hammerlock lariat and scored the pinfall. Gulak wants to remove the high-risk moves that make 205 Live an unsafe work environment. She said she thought Dar would be the face of 205 Live, but he's immature, wears bad cologne, and can't cook. Perkins spat in his hand before offering the pre-match handshake, so Aries slapped it away hard. Perkins rolls outside after the bell rings and shakes out his hand. Aries patiently waits for perkins Indian style in the ring and pops up and sends Perkins scurrying.

Aries tweaked his knee when going for a 450 splash, giving Perkins the opportunity to work over that body part. However, he still took things to the mat for a few nice submission holds.

Aries knocked Perkins to ringside and then wiped him out with the Heat Seeking Missile through the ropes. Last Chancery attempt sees Perkins move outside.

To this point, the rivalry between Neville and Austin Aries hasn't had much in the way of mistakes. Suicide dive from Aries. Aries up top inside and Perkins shakes him off, dropping him on his knee on the top rope. Neville and Perkins left together while the officials tended to Aries as the show closed. Butterfly lock applied on Aries. He managed to reach the ropes, but Perkins continued to wear down the leg with repeated low kicks. He followed up with the 450 and looked to have it won, but Perkins got his foot on the ropes. Perkins with kicks to the leg and a kick combo. Aries grabs Perkins for a belly-to-back suplex. He hoisted Aries in a fireman's carry, but Aries fought out with the shinbreaker into the release back suplex. Last Chancery in by Aries, but Perkins able to get to the bottom rope. Upon landing, Aries sold his knee, which prompted Perkins to waste no time in locking in his kneebar.

Neville rushed the ring after the match, but the worn-down Aries gained the advantage until he was attacked from behind by Perkins. Neville drops Aries with a spinning back kick, but misses a buzzsaw kick. Perkins steps on Aries' face then with a nonchalant cover while dabbing.
